Best HONDA CBR 1000RR Bike Wallpapers

The CBR1000RR is powered by an all new 999 cc (61.0 cu in) inline-four engine with a redline of 13,000 rpm. It features titanium valves and an enlarged bore with a corresponding reduced stroke. The engine has a completely newcylinder block, head configuration, and crankcase with lighter pistons. A new ECU delivers two separate revised maps sending the fuel and air mixture to be squeezed tight by the 12.3:1 compression ratio. Ram air is fed to an enlarged air box through two revised front scoops located under the headlamps. Honda claims power output to be at least 178 hp (133 kW) beginning at 12,000 rpm.Winning Road Racing World’s “2009 1000cc Shootout” merely confirmed the CBR1000RR’s supremacy, with 2010 certain to continue its legacy of class-defining power, light weight, handling and looks.

Honda continues its trend of importing popular European motorcycle and scooter offerings into the U.S. with the introduction of the 2010 Honda NT700V.The engine is identical to the power unit in Honda’s European Transalp dual-sport bike and the DN-01 scooter/sportbike crossover machine, minus the CVT automatic transmission. It features 4-valve cylinder heads operated by a single chain-driven camshaft as each piston works through an 81 x 66mm bore/stroke and compresses fuel to a ratio of 10.0:1. The engine receives petrol via Honda’s proprietary programmedfuel-injection system, which incorporates twin 40mm throttle bodies paired with 12-hole injectors. Exhaust is then evacuated via a sleek, albeit heavy-looking chrome exhaust terminating on the right-hand side of the machine. Engine power is transferred to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox and a low maintenance shaft final drive. The powertrain is further augmented by a conventional cable-actuated clutch.

Harley-Davidson and Buell no show at 2008 NEC Bike Show!

Harley-Davidson and Buell have announced today that they will not be exhibiting at the 2009 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the Birmingham NEC later this year. This comes after Honda advised it would not be exhibiting at the show earlier this year.

Well personally this is a great shame for all UK motorcyclists, three major motorcycle marques won't now be at the show. It makes you wonder who's next to pull out and quite bizarre when the show is run by the Motor Cycle Industry Assocation whom these maufacturers support!

It means we could be left only with the MCN London Motorcycle Show as the major national motorcycle show he way things are going!!!

Honda CBR10000RR Fireblade Voted Britain’s Favourite Motorcycle

In the 2008 RiDER Power Survey Honda's awesome CBR1000RRR Fireblade had been voted Britain's favourite bike with a satisfaction rating score of 92.19%. Also Honda's ST1300 Pan European came fifth with a score of 88.53%.

Honda announces some of its 2009 model line up

Honda has announced some of its 2009 model line up including the CBR1000RR Fireblade and CBR600RR Supersport, both with Honda's new electronically-controlled Combined ABS as an option.

Plus two off road bikes, the 2009 CRF450R and the CRF250R.

As such we've got some pics of these new models for you to drool over until their available in Honda dealers.
