Team Geronimo at the Mountain States Cup Finals

The team had a great weekend at Sol Vista. Brian rode smart and squeaked by some carnage, taking the win in 4X. Then the next day he was just 0.6 seconds off pace in the DH, good enough for 2nd on the day.

Mike's consistency landed him in 2nd overall in the Mountain States Cup Pro points race, and the junior squad took home the 2nd place overall team ranking as well. Well done, guys!

Team Geronimo is back from the first whirlwind of major events, photo shoots, and testing sessions of 2011. It was quite the trip! We traveled over 10,000 miles by air and by land over the past month...

The Team Geronimo guys have been doing a photo shoot with Devon Balet whilst they road trip their way back from Sea Otter to their mountain lair in Colorado.

The guys are all enjoying riding the prime and the slightly different feel it has compared to 26ers. I asked these guys to use and abuse the frame beyond its intended purpose so that we can be double sure that there are no structural issues... it would appear that they are doing just that... and loving it!

Michael Buell Selected to Represent USA at Pan Am Continental Championship

Team Geronimo/Banshee racer Michael Buell was just selected to represent the USA at the 2011 Pan American Continental Championships in Columbia this April. He'll be joined by 10 other US based gravity racers.

Mike will race both downhill and 4X. For more details, check out Vital.

It's been a little while since our last blog post, so here's the latest and greatest about Team Geronimo:

Team Geronimo and Gene Hamilton of Betterride

During a rare break in the busy 2010 race season, Team Geronimo racers (from left to right) Michael Buell, Brian Buell, Graeme Pitts and Cody Eichhorn had the great opportunity to spend a few days with Coach Gene Hamilton (center) of Betterride http://www.Betterride.net. It was Eichhorn's first chance to meet with the legend, but the rest of the team are all veterans of multiple skills clinics, so the focus of this private gathering was advanced race technique, just in time for the second half of the season.

(Note Pitts' Argentinian national jersey, which he acquired at 2009 Pan Am Championships in Chile. The custom is to swap jerseys with anyone who requests it, accompanied by autographs on the jerseys and the customary European kiss. Pitts got to enjoy this whole ritual with an Argentinian pirate, complete with gold tooth and long hair!)
